Thriving Workplaces Research Project – Nova Scotia

The Thriving Workplaces Project, piloted in Nova Scotia, aims to enhance the career and employment services system by simultaneously supporting small businesses and workers.

Using the innovative “Magnetic Factors” framework, practitioners guide employers and workers to explore their diverse layers of needs, offerings and mindsets. The ultimate goal is to go beyond traditional service and use common realities and purposes to produce matches that can last and flourish.

This dual-client model, developed in collaboration with the Departments of Labour, Skills, and Immigration, and Economic Development, recognizes both job seekers and employers as primary users of the services of the Nova Scotia Works Centres. By focusing on the needs of both groups, the project seeks to improve individual employment outcomes, boost the local economy, and create a positive impact on communities.
