The Challenge

Nova Scotia Community College sought out the MixtMode team to increase the eGuidance skills of their Career Professionals using synchronous chat.

Our Solution

Practitioners from 13 different campuses across the province of Nova Scotia converged for a full-day of training with Tannis Goddard. This interactive training day included:

  • core principles for guiding synchronous chat in career services
  • exploration of a response framework to support communication through chat
  • hands-on access to a practice chat tool during and after training
  • train-the-trainer package

We recognize that this is a complex and challenging time. Practitioners and agencies have responded by radically changing the way services are provided to the many Clients needing support. 

 

Having studied, practiced, researched, trained and consulted on remote and online career development learning for over 15 years, our team is finding ways to share knowledge with the field.
