The Government of British Columbia, Canada has made sustainable employment the focus for clients of the WorkBC Employment Centres and deployed improvements to their programming in 2020 to reflect this priority.
To support the career practitioners that serve clients across the province, the Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction asked us to create and facilitate a comprehensive training program. It provided methods to devise a personalized plan with clients, and strategies to help them find and maintain sustainable work. The intention is to reduce the cyclical pattern of unemployment in multi-barriered clients by properly assisting them to find more suitable and fulfilling work.
The MixtMode team created a custom curriculum for this training and a robust online delivery strategy that included access to content and activities via our learning platform, a community of practice, and weekly live sessions for 120+ selected practitioners.
This was a contract with the BC Ministry of Social Development and Poverty Reduction.
