The Challenge

An initiative by the Ministry of Social Development, the WorkBC Employment Services Centres integrated all services offered through a single door in an effort to make it easier to help people find work and provide stability for their families. British Columbians who are eligible to work in B.C. access services through the WorkBC Employment Services Centres.

Our Solution

In preparation for a huge transformation of the career services industry across BC, a number of solutions were developed and implemented including:

  • 35+ Targeted Online Workshops ready for use for EPBC
  • 20+ Face-to-Face workshops for practitioners
  • Training Materials for practitioners on all aspects of the new EPBC models

To meet the full spectrum of client needs in the WorkBC Employment Services Centres across BC, MixtMode developed a range of employment materials for a mixture of modes – included online, face-to-face and group learning experiences.

We recognize that this is a complex and challenging time. Practitioners and agencies have responded by radically changing the way services are provided to the many Clients needing support. 


Having studied, practiced, researched, trained and consulted on remote and online career development learning for over 15 years, our team is finding ways to share knowledge with the field.
