Our sector constantly deals with change, whether that be program and project changes, or sweeping labour market shifts. Mixtmode understands the need to take care of workers who must adapt to these changes. Once Douglas College won new government contracts to operate WorkBC employment centres in 2018, we were asked to create a change management initiative to prepare their staff.

There were three parts to this initiative:

  • a full-day workshop on how to effectively manage change and transition personally and as a team,
  • a 6-month face-to-face course on transition and best practices of career development, and
  • a series of engaging online modules designed for their clients.
